“Flourish 3.0” Project for Ukrainian Teens Comes to an End
3 June 2026 · 2 minutes of reading
The Flourish 3.0 project, created to support the mental well-being of Ukrainian teenagers, has successfully finished. Over the course of two weeks, participants had the chance to step away from everyday challenges, recharge in a safe and supportive environment, gain a deeper understanding of themselves, and learn practical ways to care for their emotional health.
The program brought together mental health sessions, surfing, and interactive workshops focused on building resilience. Through these activities, participants explored their emotions, discovered their inner strengths, and learned how to support one another.
As Angelina Osadcha, Director of Klitschko Foundation, shared:
“We want young people to have opportunities not only to develop their talents and skills, but also to prioritize their mental well-being. Today, investing in mental health is one of the most meaningful investments we can make in Ukraine’s future. Strong communities begin with people who know how to care for themselves and support those around them.”
One of the most meaningful outcomes of the project was the sense of community that emerged among the participants. During these two weeks, they built friendships, found encouragement, and experienced a genuine sense of belonging.
Once again, “Flourish 3.0” highlighted the importance of supporting young people’s mental health as an essential part of Ukraine’s recovery and future growth. Participants are returning home with new perspectives, valuable life skills, and the confidence that, even in difficult circumstances, they can find strength within themselves and in the people around them.
Anna, one of the participants, summed up her experience with these words:
“You can’t control the waves, but you can learn how to surf them. In the same way, you can’t control everything that happens around you—many things are simply beyond your reach. What you can do is learn how to respond to challenges, navigate them, and protect your inner peace along the way.”
Her reflection perfectly captures the idea of “Flourish 3.0”: not avoiding life’s challenges, but learning how to move through them with resilience, confidence, and the ability to keep growing.
The project was implemented in partnership with Kultur.Konvoi and made possible with the support of our partners, WeAreAllUkrainians and Pure Surfcamps.
